This site is picking up steam in terms of content with both Justin James and George Ou cranking out daily blogs.  We're in the process of getting rid of ForMortals.com and redirecting it to www.ForMortals.com along with some other SEO things that need to be done.

A few months ago, I discovered a neat little toy/edu-game/app called "Phun". I have to say, it really lives up to it's name! The gentleman who put this together is named Emil Ernerfeldt as a Master's Thesis. I'll tell you, give this guy his MA today, he's earned it. The shop that picks him up post-graduation will get someone who not only knows how to code, but someone who knows how to put a piece of software together that is enjoyable to use, has an intuitive interface, is practical, and at the same time, provides a sandbox for educational exploration.

Re: Isn't this Phun?

Hmmm... Similar to LittleBigPlanet on the PS3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LittleBigPlanet

Re: Isn't this Phun?

That "Little Big Planet" game looks pretty slick! the game I've been waiting for is Spore... and I hate to admit it, but Ninja Gaiden II might just trick me into purchasing an XBox 360. I barely touch consoles (my gaming time has reduced to 5 - 30 minute chunks here and there, so it's mostly chess and mahjjong), but the first Ninja Gaiden was, bar none, the best video game I had played in about 10 years. The only thing that came close was the first Max Payne, and even that lacked the raw challenge. So my XBox has been collecting dust for a few years (maybe one day I'll finish the Prince of Persia trilogy) and I know that an XBox 360 or a PS3 will end up being a $400 system that I buy 3 games for and never touch again. I might enjoy a Wii, but who knows... my time is so insanely compressed it isn't funny. :(

Pretty sweet, I'll let my daughter play with it

Pretty sweet, I'll let my daughter play with it. I still need to figure out how to build everything. This is one of those things I wish I had a tablet or a Microsoft Table. Microsoft should load this game on to their tables.
