One of my minor hobbies is tracking the bizarre things that Google co-founders Page and Brin do. My favorite so far was when Eric Schmidt had to referee a fight between the two... over whether they would be putting hammocks or beds in the Google corporate jet (I wonder if he had to settle a "PS3 vs. Wii" arguement too). Today, Larry Page enter Dan "DaVinci Code" Brown territory, with accusations that "white space" tests were deliberately rigged. I can only laugh.

Today I set about installing Exchange 2007 in our organization. As a little bit of background, we had initially had a windows 2003 SBS Server in place, which means that our Active Directory had the Exchange changes made to it. When we moved off of that system, I manually uninstalled Exchange before wiping the server, but in my ignorance I did not remove Exchange from Active Directory. Today, I found a way to do that, despite errors from trying "update /removeOrg" in the Exchange SP2 system.

It has some impressive performance specs on throughput and IO speeds.  While the random write IOPS metric isn't as impressive, it still beats the pants off normal hard drives.

A number of years ago, I ordered something from Newegg, at the suggestion of a friend. I found their Web site to be a joy to use, their prices excellent, their customer service good, and their order process to be painless and fast. Over the last few months, not only has Newegg dropped the ball on me a number of times, but I'm now forced to reconsider them as a vendor completely.

As a follow up to the past problems I've been having with the XFX nForce 630i model MG-630i-7159, I upgraded the BIOS on the recommendation of Adrian.  It was a good recommendation and I should have remembered to try updating the BIOS to see if these problems went away, but unfortunately I have to report that it didn't work.  Not only did it not work, I had to jump through a lot of hoops to install the BIOS update which is a procedure I would NEVER expect any normal person to put up with.
